What MaskMail Provides
MaskMail is a free disposable email service. We provide:
- Temporary email addresses that last for 30 minutes
- The ability to receive emails at these temporary addresses
- A web-based inbox to read received emails and download attachments
- Automatic deletion of all data after expiration
Acceptable Use
You may use MaskMail for:
- Protecting your real email from spam when signing up for services
- Testing applications and websites during development
- Receiving one-time verification codes
- Maintaining privacy when interacting with unfamiliar websites
- Any other lawful purpose
Prohibited Use
You may not use MaskMail to:
- Send spam or bulk email — MaskMail is receive-only, but using generated addresses to sign up for the purpose of spamming others is prohibited
- Commit fraud — Creating accounts to exploit free trials in violation of a service's terms, engage in financial fraud, or impersonate others
- Harass or abuse — Using temporary emails to create accounts for harassment, stalking, or abuse on other platforms
- Distribute malware — Using MaskMail in any way to distribute malicious software
- Circumvent legal obligations — Using temporary emails to evade legal requirements (e.g., court orders, regulatory compliance)
- Automated abuse — Using bots or scripts to create excessive numbers of inboxes in a short period
Service Availability
- MaskMail is provided "as is" without guarantees of uptime or availability
- We may experience occasional downtime for maintenance or technical issues
- We reserve the right to implement rate limiting to prevent abuse
- We may block IP addresses or ranges that are being used for abuse
No Warranty
MaskMail is provided free of charge, without any warranty. Specifically:
- We do not guarantee that all emails sent to your temporary address will be received
- We do not guarantee the accuracy or completeness of received emails
- We are not responsible for any data loss — temporary emails may be deleted at any time
- We are not responsible for the content of emails received at temporary addresses
Limitation of Liability
MaskMail and its operators are not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of our service. This includes but is not limited to:
- Loss of data or emails
- Inability to access temporary inboxes
- Unauthorized access to your temporary inbox by third parties who know the email address
- Any actions taken by third parties based on information in temporary emails
Important Security Notice
Temporary email addresses are not secure for sensitive communications. Anyone who knows or guesses your temporary email address can potentially view its contents. Do not use MaskMail for banking, medical, legal, or other sensitive communications.
Changes to Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of MaskMail after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
